Poetry+Lyrics: The Same Dreams

It’s about how I currently feel about this guy. I’m in love with him. The past month he needed me to write something for him (because he heard I can write). And after everything was done, he just started departing from me. And from almost-best-friend I ended up as… just a girl. This is about him and it’s dedicated to him.

It was fabulous,
Fabulous
How much I loved you.

It was incredible,
Incredible,
How much love I surrounded you with.

I wanted you to be
The one who’d love me,
The killer to my pains,
The breaker of my chains,
The one I’d always need,
My everything,
But, apparently,
You didn’t have the same dreams as me.

And I didn’t listen to
Those who tried to unveil the truth about you,
Saying: “Take care;
He’s got nothing to share.
Loving him is a waste of time.
He doesn’t think you’re worth a dime.”

I should have listened,
But I just ignored them all,
I thought love was worth it.
I was left with the memories of how much…

I wanted you to be
The one who’d love me,
The killer to my pains,
The breaker of my chains,
The one I’d always need,
My everything,
But, apparently,
You didn’t have the same dreams as me.

I wanted you to be
My painkiller,
My wall breaker,
The one I’d always need,
My everything.

I was such a fool,
You were such a liar,
All you gave me were illusions,
They seemed reality to me.

All you wanted me to do
Was put pen to paper and write
A love story to believe in,
One I believed in,
Unlike you.
You liar, you fool.
You only played with me,
While I really wanted you to be…
My painkiller,
My wallbreaker.

I wanted you to be
The one I’d always need,
My everything,
But, apparently,
You didn’t have the same dream as me.

Thankfully, now, I’ve been set free.
